Claire A. Dennis, MA, LMFT, LCAS

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, practicing in North Carolina and California. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, and I have over two decades of clinical experience.

My work is grounded in experiential, evidence-based approaches. I am a certified provider of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), having completed a three-year Core Training program. I am also certified in EMDR and trained in Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These modalities inform my integrative approach—helping people understand the unconscious patterns shaping their lives and develop the capacity to change them.

I am particularly passionate about supporting parents as they navigate adolescence and young adulthood with their children, especially during periods of transition, uncertainty, and launch.

I currently offer therapy both virtually and in person.
